John Davis, local author, naturalist, and conservationist, is a champion of “wildways,” wilderness corridors where animals can safely traverse the land in keeping with their historic patterns of mobility. He will talk about his 7000+ mile journey by bike, boat and foot which he recounted in his book Big, Wild, and Connected: Scouting an Eastern Wildway from the Everglades to Quebec, and will talk about our local wildlife corridor, the Split Rock Wildway.
